TECHNICAL assistant

Position Overview

Wolfbane Productions seeks a hands-on, detail-oriented Technical Assistant (TA) for the 2026 season. The TA will support the Artistic Team across a range of productions, helping to bring Wolfbane’s dynamic indoor and outdoor shows to life. This role combines creativity, organization, and problem-solving with practical skills in construction, technical setup, and event support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, construction, and installation of scenic, lighting, and sound elements for all productions and events

  • Maintain, organize, and repair technical equipment and theatre infrastructure throughout the season

  • Support event setup, load-ins, and strikes efficiently and safely

  • Coordinate volunteers, interns, and part-time crew members as needed

  • Track materials, tools, and project timelines under the guidance of the Artistic Director

  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed during builds and performances

  • Assist in technical budgeting, inventory management, and venue maintenance

Skills and Qualifications:
Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in theatre or live event production

  • Carpentry and tool proficiency

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and outdoor events

  • Positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Must be able to hold 50lb and stand for extended periods

Preferred

  • Familiarity with lighting, sound, video, or scenic design

  • Experience supervising volunteers or small crews

  • Basic knowledge of budgeting or project management

CREATIVE assistant

Position Overview

Wolfbane Productions seeks a hands-on, inventive Creative Assistant (CA) for the 2026 season. This role is ideal for a builder with an artistic eye and a passion for creating immersive experiences. The CA will collaborate closely with the Creative Director and production team to help bring scenic and visual concepts to life for both indoor and outdoor productions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support scenic construction, set dressing, and on-site installations

  • Assist in the design and execution of creative projects, props, and stage needs

  • Collaborate with designers and directors to realize artistic concepts within time and budget limits

  • Participate in scenic maintenance, repairs, and show transitions

  • Ensure all creative work aligns with Wolfbane’s aesthetic and safety standards

  • Provide support for special events, photo shoots, and community programs

Skills and Qualifications:
Required

  • Contractor or carpentry experience

  • 2–4 years in theatre production, scenic construction, or related field

  • Strong creative problem-solving and craftsmanship

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Reliable transportation and flexible availability

  • Must be able to hold 50lb and stand for extended periods

Preferred

  • Basic design or painting experience

  • Familiarity with stagecraft tools and materials

  • Experience with an outdoor venue
